The book is in excellent condition--expertly restored and rebound in three-quarter leather, retaining the green marbled boards. A slight rub is across the front cover. Modern end papers and inside covers, with the new endpapers encompassing the original endpapers. Eight stunning engravings. Book is 8 ½ x 6 inches and over two inches in thickness. Contemporary front endpaper has the following inscriptions: "To Professor W. E. Melton, from William Donne, with good wishes." A note below states: "Presented to Miss S----- Norton for the Norton Collection (Harvard Library)" A note laid in states: "This volume, was returned to me by Mr. Lane as being unsuitable for the Norton Collection."
