Published by Dawson Brothers; Rose Pub. Co. (1886).  Two Volumes. Original green hardcover with gilt lettering and decoration to spine and front cover. Copy of Lee's Surrender facsimile laid in. 584 and 648 pages. 49 illustrations including two frontispieces with tissue guards in place. Both volumes have bumps to corners and spine ends and a few rubs. Gilt is still bright on spines and front covers of both. No names or writing in either book. Vol. II does show a mild bump to the middle right outer page edges. Both volumes are tight and solid.
