Published by The Rankin Press 1959.  Gilt lettered blue hardcover. Signed by Author, the great-granddaughter of Thomas Gaillard. The book was written in 1946, and not published until 1959. There are many photographs, illustrations, maps, a fold-out genealogy chart going back to the family at Montpellier, at Languedoc, France who settled in South Carolina in 1687. There is a Gaillard Coat-of-Arms . Inside front cover is taped an illustration of The River Plantation. 156 pages. The binding is solid and tight. There are a few underlines on six pages.
