Gilt silhouette of Lee on front of each volume. Vol. I has a large fold-out map of the "Theatre of Operations - Army of Northern Virginia, June, 1862 - April, 1865" in rear of book. Vol. I has minor wear to spine and corners. Vol. 2 has very minor soiling to top rear. Vol. 3 & 4 have very minor wear to corners. Lettering and designs on spines are bright. Complete 4 volumes, bound in red cloth, with gilt lettering and rules to the spines and front covers. The four books are in
ORIGINAL red box. Vol. I has mottling to front cover. Vol. II has mottling to rear cover, bump to top right front corner and top rear left corner. Vol. III has mottling to rear cover, bump to top right corner, and rub to front. Vol. IV has minor mottling to front. All four volumes show wear to head and foot of spine and some foxing to pages. They also have a very small previous bookstore sticker on lower rear paste-down. The original red box holding the books has mottling to all exterior sides and chips to the corners. The rear of the box has been bumped on top left corner causing a few wrinkles there. The rear top of the box has a split, but is in place. There is a small slit to the front top right corner of the box. The box top has a split to the upper left and right corners and the lower left corner. There is some soiling to the box. The books are in Very Good condition and the box is in Good condition. Very Scarce in original box. (Additional scans available upon request.)
