leather book collection is in Fine condition. The size is 8" tall x 5" wide.  A strikingly handsome and complete set of this seminal work.  Set has no marks, no names, no bookplates.  Has been in private family library in Pennsylvania perhaps since published.  Some conservative restorative work on hinges and binding, as well as several corners and several mild scuffs.  Very sturdy.  Red labels original.  Interiors virtually flawless with only mild browning throughout, with the exception of Volume Four as described below.  Heavier foxing at end pages.  Volume One [1821]: "Domestick Affairs" and "History of the Confederation" [464 pages]; Volume Two [1820]: "Foreign Affairs" [587 pages]; Volume Three [1821]: "Foreign Affairs" [614 pages]; Volume Four [1821]: "Foreign Affairs" [454 pages].  Volume Four has severe foxing from start to about page 75 and from page 430 to end.
